Student Registration Process
The Student Registration process at the University of Kelaniya is a vital step for undergraduate students to officially enroll in their chosen programs. This process is facilitated by the Academic Division, which manages the online registration system for incoming students identified by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
UGC Selected List: The registration process begins when the UGC sends the official list of selected candidates to the university. This list includes students who have been awarded placement for undergraduate programs based on their academic qualifications.
Online Registration Access: Following the receipt of the selected candidates' list, the Academic Division enables access to the online registration platform, where students can complete their registration seamlessly.
Registration for Undergraduate Students: It is important to note that this online registration is exclusively for undergraduate students. They must log into the registration system using their provided credentials to enter necessary information, select courses, and complete the enrollment process.
Separate Registration for Postgraduate and External Degree Students: Students pursuing postgraduate programs should register through the Faculty of Graduate Studies, while those enrolled in external degree programs must complete their registration via the Centre for Distance and Continuing Education. These groups have separate registration protocols that cater to their specific academic pathways.
Completion of Registration: Once registered, students will receive confirmation of their enrollment, which grants them access to university resources, courses, and activities.
Through this streamlined registration process, the Academic Division aims to ensure that undergraduate students have a smooth transition into their academic journey at the University of Kelaniya.
