The Faculty of Humanities has a rich academic tradition that traces its roots back to the establishment of Vidyalankara Pirivena. Today, the legacy of the former faculties of Vidyalankara Pirivena—specifically the Faculty of Languages, the Faculty of Buddhism, and the Faculty of Arts—continues to thrive under the umbrella of the Faculty of Humanities, fostering a vibrant academic environment dedicated to the study of culture, language, and thought.
