UoK's Brand Guideline
The outline of the brand guidelines mentioned herewith is the essential content developed strategically and purposefully for the success of UoK's overall branding objectives.
UoK's Emblem, Logo & Symbol
Emblem
The design which occupies the first and the second concentric circles of the emblem portrays a lotus pond. The design depicts a central lotus flower in full bloom, surrounded by two wavy lines that represent the ripples on the surface of the water and leaf-shaped motifs that represent lotus leaves. If one assumes that the pond contains muddy water, the fully blossomed lotus, which is a traditional symbol of wisdom and purity, contrasts with the defiled water from which it arises, as epitomized by the University’s motto “Self-purification is by insight” that is placed at the top of the emblem.
